Blue Acorn Balsa Wood is a premium quality modelling/creative material, kiln-dried to produce a light-weight and 'high strength-to-weight' ratio. Only the highest quality wood, from ecologically sustainable tree plantations, is used and then milled to an exacting standard and to cut tolerances of +/- 0.5mm. Each batch then goes through a five step inspection process to meet the most demanding requirements.

These high standards aid the making of precise architectural models, intricate model building, wood crafts, paper crafts, textiles, etc. Balsa cuts easily with a hobby knife and can be stained or painted to represent any wood type.
